About Hannah
Working predominantly with oil, artist and art educator Hannah Bratton has been able to contribute their take on themes regarding the fluctuating human psyche and abstract expressionism through their on-going practice. Bratton, who was born in 1988 takes influences from artists such as Ed Clark, Mark Rothko, and Clyfford Still applying it to their use of movement and color. Bratton has taught both in the public and private setting in Texas and uses her experiences in the classroom to form deeper connections in her paintings. Bratton is also heavily influenced by her childhood growing up in central Texas and the emotional tension found when memories and found feelings collide.
Hannah Bratton earned her BFA in Art Education from Texas Christian University and is currently attending Teachers College at Columbia University for a Masters in Studio Art for Art Educators with an emphasis in Painting.
